Games / Re: mario odyssey review scores are THROUGH THE ROOF
« on: October 26, 2017, 10:57:11 PM »
uh oh

The review is basically a speech against the switch itself, for some reason? But honestly I can't wait for a million people to latch onto this single review and assume thats what me must focus on. I mean its a given. And I'm sure you can clearly and evidently give a clear and backed up review for a 70% score, but this is stuff tbh, sorry.

oh so that didn't have the "psychological horror" tag because people think it's funny to apply it to random stuff?

I was told to just download it not read anything about, according to a friend. Just downloaded it straight away and didn't read any of the stuff on the steam page. Only thing I saw was the trigger warning on startup

likely just a shock reaction and not much of a "wow i lost respect for him just because he draws research now"

and if anybody thinks this they are genuinely handicapped
yeah it was shock. I just find that incredibly strange seeing as he kind of posts some robot fighting stuff videos.

im back, holy stuff. Im so glad I didn't read anything about this game. I thought it was gonna be some edgy horror game, its like a meta psychological thriller. I literally was just expecting Yuri to just stab em all or something and like some edgy demon stuff would happen, but nope. It was really interesting, I'm glad i just played it. Also I'm forgeted up and I can't go to sleep holy stuff. I wish it lasted longer though I really was so loving intrigued I was on the edge of my seat and it was so loving funny I brought my friend with me to watch me play and it was a lot of confused and shocked screaming. I really wish I could erase my memories to complete replay this game and feel the same way I did.

I'm like an hour and a half in, literally nothing is happening I'm about to go watch youtube videos and actually spoil myself, or maybe not idk? When does stuff happen? I was told by a friend to just go in blind and not look up loving anything, I did so, and lmfao I'm sluggishly reading and brown townyzing literally loving everything. Is yuri just gonna knife everyone I'm so lost

I've been thinking about an eventing system based on nodes. Here's a rough concept drawing I made.

The nodes would be based on a 2D plane and they'd function in a circuit-like manner with 4 different types of nodes.
Some nodes would have another level of customization which would allow changes like: drop-down selection boxes for item, projectile, vehicle, etc. spawning, tic-boxes for toggling things like collision, rendering, etc. and text fields for writing down messages or variables.

The 4 types of nodes are: Trigger nodes, Target nodes, Action nodes and Utility nodes

Trigger nodes are basically all of the onSomething events and can be recognized from the left pointing nozzles and one right pointing output.

Target nodes are the events which decides what the following action nodes will interact with. They have a triangular input on the left and right pointing output.

Action nodes decide what happens to the target given by a former target node. They have a triangular input and nothing on the right side.

Utility nodes have an "output" node on both sides and they can also be attached to the right side on Trigger and Target nodes.

With this kind of system, it would be possible to compress VC-events under a single trigger. It would also make the layout a little bit more simplistic. What do you lot think?
reminds me of the "build your own computer" which is basically just a raspberry pi with programs for kids to "learn how to code." Does anyone remember or know what I'm talking about?
