If done correctly, F2P models gives you best value for money. Hearthstone is a good example.

See what you've done jamesster? There is a reason for NDA for closed beta testers, as the game is constantly evolving and improving. Funcom will not like your disloyalty I think. Maybe you should modify your posts?

Who said anything about spending money in a broken game?

As you said about Watch Dogs, also a game you haven't played: Why can't people just enjoy the game for what it is?

Peace out...

Game was totally overhyped. They released way too much video of the gameplay. Luckily, I saw what was happening and stopped watching youtube trailers a long time ago. Now I enjoy the game very much. If they only released a teaser or two critics would now be yelling 'Game of the Year'. So if a developer is confident they have a great game, no need to overhype it prelaunch IMO.

LU fans that can't get to terms with that the game failed and shut down for a reason, and therefore spews hate on other games they have not played yet, is also poopy...

Please note that Lego is not developing this game, so Lego is not spending cash on this instead of LU as the LU fans seems to think. Lego has licensed the game to Funcom. Same with Chima, licensed to Warner Brothers.

Yeah jamesster, more things to come in the full version I'm sure. Funcom will have a few aces up their sleeves I think ( PvP with maybe user modifiable dungeons perhaps?)

At least zombiedude likes the game.  Congrats with the new minifig dude. Looks awesome.

Oh good jamesster. I think I will like this game. You said no hidden collectibles, I'm certain that there will be secrets to be found, maybe Mr.Gold somewhere. I also like that it doesn't sound to easy since you seem to die a lot in it.

Business model will be contstantly tweaked during beta and the months after launch as normal for F2P games, no worries. I think they will find a nice balanced and fair model in due time  :cookie:

Chexguy, nice strategy  :iceCream:

Jamesster, you just made LU sound like the most fantastic MMO ever made and LMO sound like a bore. Was that intentional or was it just to win the argument? I'm not surprised of the hate that LMO receives from LU fanboys, we've already seen a lot of it on youtube comments. To me, comparing the two games seems worthless. They are different, period.

Four hour cool off period seems highly out of place, I'm sure they will reduce that time very soon. How much does new lifes cost? How much is the monthly subscription, and do you then avoid the cool off period?
