Isn't Crimsonwood in the gmae called "Maplestory?" I used to play it and it sounds very similar.
It is very loosely based off of the area in MS.

Waterworks is an amazing use of effects.
Thank you my friend! It's my favorite area to have worked on so far!

Thanks. Do you know why I was banned in the first place? I've never been on your server.
Possibly if you had a dispute with that particular admin in the past, he held a grudge. I have no idea. The important thing is you aren't banned anymore, and that admin is no longer an admin in my server.

I don't know who, I couldn't get on. I was banned before I ever went on the server. My IGN is TheProdWad, ID 26925.
Apparently it was one of the old admins that was removed a long time ago for abuse. Sorry about that. The ban was lifted.

I tried getting on the server a few days ago, banned for no reason. Why?
By who? And typically of someone is banned, especially on my server, it's for a reason.

Thank you! There are a few small jump quests, but that's about it. I might be adding a few more in the near future however.

The Story
Crimsonwood Keep was founded long ago by Christopher Crimsonheart; a mighty warrior wishing to establish a stronghold against the enemies of the good people of the world. During his rule, he lead his lands to an age of prosperity. After his death, his descendants also ruled in his place. However, during a very dark winter, war came upon the land. The four great great grandsons of Crimsonheart, each specializing in a type of weaponry, all became kings of equal power, and lead the country to a victorious, hard won peace. However, that peace was short lived, for a sickness struck the land, killing most of the population. No longer having the manpower to sustain the fortress, the survivors of the plague abandoned it. Decades of age and decay slowly ate away at the once-great fortress. The enemy, seeing the opportunity to obtain this strategic point, infested the empty halls. Pillaging and defiling the beauty and splendor of the keep, the enemy turned it into a place of malice and evil, spreading darkness over the land. For years it has sat, a nightmarish legend lurking on the edges of the wild. Now a brave expedition has dared to try to explore the haunted halls of Crimsonwood Keep. What treasures that lay hidden is for you to find!
Features
-Hours of exploration in areas such as the Crimsonwood Forest, the Waterworks, Dungeons, Armories, Cellars, the Throne Room, the destroyed vampire-infested village, and much much more!
-Four different classes to pick from: Warden, Ranger, Caster, and Bandit... with specialized player-types and weaponry for each.
-Bosses to fight, including dragons, the leviathan, trolls, etc
-Many secret areas to find with plenty of treasure hidden away.
-Both a currency system, as well as an EXP system.
-A wide variety of quests to complete for gold and exp.
Classes
-Warden: Using melee weapons and their high amount of health as an advantage, wardens rely on brute strength.
-Ranger: Experts at ranged combat, rangers use a wide variety of bows as well as some melee weapons to do their part in the fight!
-Caster: Calling upon ancient magic, a caster can use the elements to destroy his opponents with ease.
-Bandit: Fast and furious, the bandit is a master of hit-and run techniques, bandits can easily outrun most enemies when in a tight spot.

When the four classes work together, they are a force to be reckoned with!

Work in Progress
-Still needs small detail work. This build is currently at 170k bricks; I am guessing the end project Won't be more than 185k.
-Most of the eventing hasn't been done yet.

NOW HIRING!
-If this seems like a project you would be interested in helping out with, come on by!
-I currently need someone who is very skilled with VCE eventing, as well as a couple of skilled builders to help with detail work.
Disclaimer
This requires relatively decent computers in order to experience with minimum lag. Even with shaders off, the astronomical brick count as well as several emitters could cause performance issues.
I will post updates with progression!

Drama / So THIS is why I quit the first time...
« on: August 03, 2011, 02:28:47 AM »
So I've been playing Blockland for quite some time. I started playing the original RTB back in 2006 and played untill 2009 when I was shipped to Alaska for 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment, of the Army for six months, then was transferred to a group supported by 75th Battle Command Training Division to help train soldiers in Iraq. I got a chance to come home for the first time in two years, and my parents asked if I still wanted my computer. Going through some old stuff, I found Blockland and I'm like "Hey I remember this!" So I decided to try it out again for old times sake. Within the first two days I was banned from "Blocko's Freebuild" for well.... building. And then banned from BlackHawk360's server by HeroSlime for absolutely no reason at all. I completely forgot how so many immature morons such as those listed completely ruined a once-friendly game for many such as myself. These spoiled brats who more than likely cried to their parents to have them buy them this once-great game have now overrun it. I leave in six weeks for Ranger School, and I won't be checking this game out again.
