Drama / Goodbye (Online) Blockland
« on: February 08, 2017, 11:02:02 PM »
Since I have such a high propensity to cause trouble and damage to the integrity of Blockland servers, I have called it quits to playing online with others. I have decided to stick to my v20 executable, having it firewalled so I don't go on the Internet.

Helpful. My computer probably can handle 128,000 at best since I have such a low-end laptop.

P.P.P.S It tends to happen when there's like 500,000 bricks loaded. Could that be a problem? It also happens less often in singleplayer, unless I am fiddling around with the Mission Editor in V20.

Help / OpenGL error, completely random crashes
« on: February 08, 2017, 03:17:23 AM »
I get crashes anywhere from 30 minutes in game to 3 hours, and it always has to do with something OpenGL. Tried to disable VBOs to no avail.

The most depressing but plausible option is that my integrated graphics card just isn't up to snuff to handle Blockland much. If it happens again, I will post the console error here, which is only one line involving a GL_INVALID_VALUE error or something like that. I paid 10 dollars for a new key and I seriously don't want it to go to waste because I cannot play Blockland. (Of course, until my 16 GB ram computer comes, which plays Blockland effortlessly with max shaders.)

Of course, I have OCD so this error is really bugging me. I want to build something and it always eventually screen-freezes and crashes. I hope my graphics card isn't the problem.

Processor: Intel Celeron CPU N2830 2.16 GHz
RAM: 2 GB
Bit: 64
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics

P.S. Roblox almost never crashes, not even 1% of the ratio, like 0.2% maybe. It's only ever crashed on my favorite mining game, that's it.

P.P.S Does anyone think I am running out of memory?

jarjarbinks, I wasn't kidding when I told ya I was gonna do ya a pic.

This is what happens when you turn a screenshot into a depressive album cover. Comes with a full band-name and album-name, also.

Notice the very depressing feel of the whole picture. I went for the feeling of life being a gray void, and that's exactly how life feels for me, so I put some feels into it.

Song track titles.

1: My Eternal Grayscale
2: 1x1x5 Apathy (The Decline of Creativity)
3: The Whimper of a Dying Blockland
4: Too Tired to Build
5: Ctrl K

Pretty cool, thinking of making homemade OGG files for some ambiance. (Using songs from the band Silencer and Wah-Wah'ing them so it's a rumble and faint screams from Nattramn can be heard in the background.)

Gonna use it on my build.

I honestly have all my add-ons jammed into V20 and only use the retail Blockland to play online with others. (I use port's V20, minus the BLB doors so I can use JVS doors.)

Does anyone do the same? I find it highly convenient with the terrain, actually having my own personal Slopes edit so I can make a chaotic world. (Changed the terrain square size from 16 to 2 and moved the spawn so it was on the ground, not in midair.)

Thank you but I do not have those games since my computer literally cannot handle those games. I only have 2 gb ram. It'd be nice if you could give me a quick link to some good ambient loops.

If not, I'll get paulstretch and find really grim and dismal songs and alter them to the point where you cannot recognize them, then I'd save teeny sections of the files as mono OGG vorbis files and I'll try them in Blockland.

'Cuz I was thinking of making a single-player game BLS save and if I think it is good enough, I MIGHT just upload it to the BL Forums, and if so, I'll give ALL the add-on requirements, which will be a lot, trust me.

(Edit) I'll use Audacity instead.

I was wanting some loops to make my V20 (yes I play Port's V20 on singleplayer) experience much more dynamic. Like wind, cracking fire, dripping water, etc.

Futuristic ambient would be nice too, and also horror ambient loops that repeat seamlessly.

Hope that isn't too much.
