i usually just let them try and bite me. it really doesn't hurt that much more than a light pinch. it's also fun because then you can pet it when it gets that close, with varying reactions. though, the majority of times they usually just mind their own business and honk at each other. geese are such goofy goobers

tbh i do have some passionate liberals in my family, but im blessed that they aren't complete anti-grass-touchers that wear their politics on their sleeve with a "you're with me or against me" mindset. a lot of us normal people aren't really complaining so much as feeling bad for people that intentionally isolate themselves from others over matters that none of us have real control over. from my experience. the phrase "i dont want to talk politics right now" usually solves all problems without the need for going sicko mode.

your social life is an echo chamber of your own design. are you really so fragile and insecure about your opinions that you must isolate from everyone that disagrees with you?

if you're so proud of who you are, why are people's opinions allowed to undermine you to the point where you must cut them out of your life? it's almost as if you're afraid that what they're saying is true, and you're subconsciously terrified of the truth.

you're like those bullies in high school drama movies that always surrounds themselves with a clique of subservient underlings who are always there to validate their stuffty opinions. the common themes in these movies is that the bully's friends usually realize that their friendship is superficial and betray the bully, learning that being themselves is more important than validating someone's insecure narrative.
