Sonic Colors is the best 3D game in my opinion.

Sonic 2006 is the worst game in the series by far.

To elaborate, the first two almost feel like they could be episodes, Common Sky is an innocent shipping fic, and Progress is the funniest fic I've read.

 And the fact that it's the next generation of Nintendo's portables and you can't play 3DS games on a DS.

 OoT3D is great, I love how the insides of buildings are much more detailed. I'm on my way to Zora's Domain right now.

 Here's a small list of games for Metroid fans. Not all of them are 2D, though.

 I highly recommend Shadow Complex if you have an Xbox 360.
