Help / Need to enter ID every time I start the game up.
« on: December 24, 2013, 12:09:21 PM »
Every time I start up my game it sets itself in demo mode, where I need to enter my ID.  I don't play the game often anymore but when I check in every week to week-and-a-half I have to re-enter my ID, which isn't much of a hassle but I would enjoy it if it were fixed.

also, ctrl+v ingame crashes my game, so that's annoying.  But that's not as big of a deal.

To be honest it doesn't look like there was much effort, save for the ships; put into this build.

i don't understand how i can put that much effort into this, as it's all mini.  the only things i could really put perfect building effort into were the fort and the ships, but then it was all miniature things so i can't really do all that much of "effort" i suppose

or detail, that would be a more make-sense word in my eyes

the trees took longer than you'd think, though

if you elaborate on what i didn't put effort on i can probably fix it up a bit, although i didn't mean for this to be a completely perfect build

i decided to have some fun with this addon ; http://forum.returntoblockland.com/dlm/viewFile.php?id=4979

this is a scene/set of something to do with the revolutionary war, using only the terrain blocks (i can't remember their name at the moment) and the mini-empires pack materials (along with some small bricks of course).  enjoy

now i would love to keep giving ludicrously big pictures but it's much easier to have you just watch a video showcasing most of this;

but if you still want to see the entire collection of pictures i have, here are a stuff-ton of some links;

General Discussion / Re: First Build?
« on: February 19, 2013, 07:58:19 PM »
I remember specifically my first full building.

but here's this if you're interested
when I first joined a random freebuild server as "Blockhead12552" i immediately placed a vehicle spawn, spawned an abrams and flipped out as it was the coolest thing I'd seen in the game as far as that point

i then asked how to name myself, gave myself this name, and never joined the server again

good times
my first build was a bar on some (other, if you read spoiler) freebuild server

it turned out awful I imagine but I can't remember finishing it.  nostalgia all the way

General Discussion / Re: The servers of today rant
« on: February 19, 2013, 07:52:13 PM »
I think the problem is that once someone joins a populated server and likes it, he/she has less initiative to join a server with, say, 4 players.

It's hard to start up any fair type of gametype because all anyone wants to do is join things they find fun currently and that are popular - aka knife tdm knife tdm knife tdm knife tdm bad roleplays involving at least four deaths per character and overdramatic scenes of babies the size of hands getting hit by cars or whatever, some good DMs but still they all add up to be the same and admin abuse etc.

what I mean by this is that any servers that don't get a good amount of players usually don't get anywhere, and if they do it's already been however much time and they may not host it until ____ in which they'd have to get said players all over again (which is why dedicated servers help, but that only works if you don't have to moderate it)

i would have more to say but this comment is getting fat

I don't know what you're talking about...the soccer balls and footballs and basketballs can be swatted away from the player by clicking on them or jump+crouching or something like that, I forget.

Have you tried doing this ingame before posting?  My friend and I were testing it for a while, movement and stationary, and we couldn't get the ball away from eachother in different situations - with minigames and options and etc.

but if there is a way i must be a handicapped sheep

Suggestions & Requests / Slightly more updated default sports equipment.
« on: February 16, 2013, 10:21:24 AM »
The sports items are fine and all, but I think something's missing - the ability to actually use them properly while still being competitive

for instance, the soccer ball can't get kicked away from the operator unless he jumps or etc. so in reality a soccer game could just be someone going straight into their goal

footballs have no way of being taken as well but i suppose there isn't necessarily a workaround to this

dodge balls are fine (i think?)

basketballs also aren't takeable so this is another problem relative to the soccer one, i think that click it should probably get it out of their hands, although i understand that this would be something complicated to do since it's basically just a tool even if it is considered a ball

12552

1*2*5=10, 10/5 = 2.

but this isn't surprising because you can find a workaround to almost any number with some math involved eventually.

General Discussion / Re: Funniest chat logs.
« on: February 01, 2013, 10:38:47 PM »
I don't have the exact log but I remember joining an RP to investigate what creepy creatures of the game do in these kinds of servers.

They were on a renderman hunt, of course, and said that CTRL + N brings up a "ghost scanner" and if it does anything that basically means there's ghosts everywhere

lols were to be had

General Discussion / Post-war city build
« on: January 19, 2013, 01:51:10 PM »
My friend and I are building a post-war city, first building it proper and then adding the effect of war.

We could use help, and I'd enjoy people to make some buildings for possible use.  I won't accept people into the project as builders, I will only allow people to build their building(s) on my server and if we approve of it you can add it.  I have to make this very strict because we want it to be our project in whole, but I can't see it being very easy and I can also see us running out of ideas.

If you're interested (or want more info, this is a small topic) message me on steam («(C.A.B.)» Sethja8) or through RTB, but I'm not on BL much unless working on this project.

Could.. you make a preview of this? So I wont download something that I might not want? I am thinking this is a christian song, if it is not then it would screw up if I downloaded..

Your request is noted, i'll get on it tonight.

Video (preview) of it will be up tonight.

Music / Amazing Grace
« on: October 15, 2012, 09:43:44 PM »
I decided to make this because I haven't seen anything like it.

The file is slightly larger than it is recommended to be (500kb) but it fits the entire song in which is tough for most song loops.

It's all bagpipe, there is no background music other than the bagpipe.

Enjoy. cry every day because it is a sad song
  Enjoy.
