Help / Higher Resolution Not Available
« on: July 14, 2010, 10:45:53 AM »
Hi, everyone. I've played blockland for about three months with my new monitor at 1600x900 resolution, until yesterday. Yesterday, Blockland suddenly went into fullscreen mode and changed the resolution to 800x600. When I went to change it back to 1600x900, the highest resolution available was 1280x960. Also, it now says the aspect ratios next to the resolutions. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it? I already reinstalled Blockland and that didn't fix the problem.

Modification Help / Re: How do I get started coding?
« on: June 27, 2010, 11:19:11 PM »
C# has nothing to do with Blockland, so that won't help you except for giving some experience with programming.

Anyways, If you know 'hardly any' I don't think you'd be ready, and since I've never done anything as big as an RP, I won't be able to offer much help.
Just keep doing what most people do to learn - look at other scripts, make small changes write small scripts, figure out the problems, if any, and use resources such as websites, ::dump, and trace to figure some things out.

I thought that TorqueScript is just a collection of C# functions.

Modification Help / How do I get started coding?
« on: June 25, 2010, 01:41:53 AM »
Hi, everyone. I want to write an add-on for Blockland that is slightly similar to CityRP. I know some basic C# and hardly any TorqueScript. Where do I start? Does anyone have any suggestions of resources? Does anyone know of any good tutorials? Thanks --Mint (formerly Pikser)

Help / Multiple Servers
« on: June 26, 2009, 12:29:23 PM »
Is it possible for two people to host servers on the same network?
If so, what would I have to change in port forwarding?

Thanks

Help / Re: Port Forwarding: I just need to know AND dedicated servers
« on: June 26, 2009, 11:12:44 AM »
How to run a dedicated server on a mac:

1. Download RTB from http://returntoblockland.com/?page_id=5 and put the .zip in your Blockland Add-Ons folder.
2. Open Blockland and follow the instructions which it tells you.
3. Close Blockland, and open dedicated.command, which is found in your Blockland folder.
4. Enter what it tells you to in the terminal window, which is something like setupRTBDedicated("BL_ID",1);
5. You now have a dedicated server!
