Yes and no.
Yes as in, I would like trails to stop using packs and rely on using default emitters like : emitter_default
No as in, I do not want to have packs.

but those are flat on the ground and look ok
it doesn't look very good when it looks like it's leaking out of the blockhead's ass

No, like, use the already existing particles and emitters.
Also, not sure how much coding you're ready to do, but you could probably pack this all into one "sphere" image and onFire function. Sort of like the bricktool.

Well, i'm gonna do some packs. I will separate default, flags and special to make seperate add-ons.
Btw, i will reduce the offset from the ground to make trails look like Gmod's one.

This will take some times with my coding "skills".

Can't you make it use default emitters that are already loaded instead of making special ones just for this?

You talk about making packs ?
- (for exemple : Default trail, images trails, ect).

 - Trail Exclamation
 - Trail Hearth
 - Trail Head Shield
 - ...

 - This pack coutains 44 differents trails !

 - Include flags. (you can ask me to add more)
 - Include "images trails" (gaben, john cena, nyan cat, ect...).
 - include "default trails" with base shapes only (laser, shiny, ect...).
