I'm curious to see what others will think about what will happen if Blockland got its own TV commercial.

I believe that what would happen would depend on the channel the advertisement is aired on. We may get a boost in players, but I'm not sure as to what would happen with the quality of the community.

Post your opinions on what would happen if this somehow became a reality.

all of the people you posted are terrible and would do blockland a disservice

those are some terrible examples
i dont want any part of pewdiepies army over here
try somebody more refined, suck as critical, totalbiscuit, videogamedunkey, etc

Fixed.

However, the reason I included them is because they are a bit... more... say, popular.

But you guys do have a point, the quality of the fans is of importance. However, I'm talking about the quantity of players rather than the quality (Though the quality is good to address.)

Most of us believe that the amount of Blockland players would surge if it was put on Steam, made F2P, etc. But what if a famous YouTube channel dedicated to gaming (Ex. TotalBiscuit, videogamedunkey, Critical, Northernlion) posted a video of them playing Blockland?

I think the population in Blockland would grow quite a bit. It may be similar to (or more) than if Blockland gets put on Steam because while Blockland may be in Steam, the amount of new users we have depends on the publicity Steam gives it. If it never really appears on Steam's front page, then we won't gain as many as we expect. However, if it gets put on sale (Which is likely to happen at one point or another) or it gets put on the front page (Which could happen as a result of the sale), we could gain the amount of users we expect.

Anyways, post your ideas here on what would happen if Blockland gained publicity through YouTube!

The server should be offline by tomorrow, as of 2/1/13.

Until I can encourage TheStranger to buy more time, any dev servers will be hosted on my laptop.

Remember to vote on the poll! We don't need a warehouse server.

I may buy some more time. Just don't ask me at 6 AM again...

The Wii U's CPU wouldn't be able to handle it.

It's statistics time.

According to this, Blockland requires an 800MHz CPU to run.

However, according to this, the Wii U has (Long number alert) 1.243125GHz of processing power.

Up to par with Xbox 360 and PS3? Nope. Fast enough to run Blockland? Yep.

Got it to work thanks!

Also. Somebody host today i didn't get to play it last night cause i went to bed before the server came up.

Now it gets to a grey screen and won't finish loading i don't even see the Mojang sign.

Have you been able to play Tekkit Classic? If so then it's just because it runs on a later version of Minecraft and it takes longer to load.

Ah. I think it created an error code actually.

Try downloading this and then run Tekkit.
