I think that Valve should open source Source. It would be a pretty good move considering their push for Linux gaming as well as the developer crowd it would attract.

The bottom right ships kind of remind me of a stubby Galactica.

I feel like I'd play this game if I knew what I was doing, had something to play it with, or at least had someone to guide me a bit.

I had the 3-week trial from a friend, but he didn't really say much other than "It's a space game."

Some person in the sector chat talked to me a bit but basically just told me that I needed to train to get new skills to be able to use certain ships.
It gets much easier if you look everything up in the wiki (read the guides and do the tutorials too) that you dont understand and just play the game. Maybe join some battles and interact with people. After you've stuck with it for a while you'll quickly realize how god damn addicted you are. EVE ate waayy too much of my time.

edit: you WILL lose your beloved ships, maybe even for completely handicapped reasons (forget Self Delete ganking). It's part of the game, kinda like dying in Dwarf Fortress.

no, but you're 10 so that's ok
wolfgang makes me want to freak out and scream.  i saw him live and it was absolutely incredible.  every time i hear "Redline" it's like a flashback

if i threw a whole list at you, you wouldn't look any of them up, so i'll just give you three
Zedd [Electro/House]
Above & Beyond [Kings of Trance]
Pegboard Nerds [Electro/Dubstep]
Thanks. I actually saw Armin van Buuren/Above & Beyond here in Seattle at a 'rave' recently, it was pretty awesome. Trance has always been fun to listen to.

A new game would be dope as well. I mainly played CSS for the Surf and SK gamemodes. I can't quite tell if it is just due to age but CSS just feels more 'moddable' (like Quake in a sense) than GO; I tend to enjoy customized gamemodes more anyway.

i feel like most of this forum listens to stuffty k-pop/j-pop and vocaloid.  either that or death metal.

edm all the way, and no i won't share any of these blessed musical pieces with you plebeians.

but respect to dark for weezer and to dotdot for his edm section, except for that justice remix
Really? I love that remix. I've been getting more into EDM (electrohouse/whatever else) lately (artists like Wolgang etc). Any artist suggestions?

Yeah, they're doing crazy stuff with real time radiosity.  With Valve's focus on realistic lighting in the past, I hope that Source 2 can blow it out of the water (especially with good water effects).
Yea, that would be awesome. I think it would be pretty cool to port CS:GO to the new engine, I think it would bring more popularity to the game (I'm surprised it's not more popular; GO is amazing imo).

Gee thanks. I'll remember I'm a traitor for being in the south. Maybe you want to shrink your generalization down a little dummy.
Say goodbye to Tom Gunn, Buishido, and Alyx if you think they are all bad.
what a handicapped mindset
no surprises coming from you
There's this thing called 'sarcasm'. Do you actually think that he's serious about profiling a huge group of people by imposing a political standpoint upon them?

Nice ambient mix. My favorite ambient artist is Eno. Anyway, you should have posted your link to the recently created music thread instead of creating a new topic.

The new Unreal Engine's lighting is insane. I saw a demo video of it a while ago and was thoroughly impressed at how stuffty lighting is in current gen games compared to it.

Can someone just fix this for me? :U
Match your braces with each other in pairs, it's not difficult. If you have a good code editor, most of this should be automatic.

I see creases in the screen...
Quite frankly, I don't see a problem compared to the normal alternative of separate screens. At least those dividers are less conspicuous.

why would you loving keep a mouse as a pet in your house
The dude could have a snake and bought one mouse too many. Usually mice are kept as food stock rather than pets.
