So I've received word that a contributor for Brickadia had apparently retweeted shota art according to this thread

The user who called them out for it got banned instantly, shows you how stuff the moderation is at brickadia.

kissing is pg-13. 16 year olds can kiss on television which makes retweeting drawings of the same thing Not Problematic.
i still think it is Weird and Gross to be a fan of omori to begin with but dessertsource is grey-ace so i presume their enjoyment of the content isn't some ephebephile love thing

i reported an ex-friend for shotacon consumption and he was banned within 48 hours. i wasn't asked for any proof so i have no idea if he confessed to the moderation team or what

do you hear yourself though? you're actively being tribal by the very things you're saying. it's never been about white vs brown it's always been about poor vs rich, get with the ballgame bro

"poor vs rich" literally doesn't apply here, my mother experienced discrimination from her coworkers who get paid the same or less than her.

a small racism experience: we called a driving lessons place and the woman who picked up the phone refused to accept that 1: my mother was calling on my behalf 2: we both had american drivers licenses, not foreign drivers licenses. i tried to call after from my phone which is a different number but same area code that isn't This Area; woman from driving school immediately tells us she can't help us with a foreign license even though it was a different voice and number. literally the only reason that she could've thought about the foreign license thing is because my mother has a chinese accent.

it is "American" vs "visibly/audibly Not American" and applies to white europeans with accents as well so it's not always white/brown dichotomy

i think that it is not good to be friends with people who voted for someone who actively wants my friends and family deported. tribals will be emboldened to do rude things to anyone who is Not White regardless of citizenship. my mother has been here 20+ years and yet still she has been pushed out of multiple job social circles because office culture was Very Whitepeople.

it is also not good to be friends with people that voted for someone who wants to reduce female reproductive rights. restricting access to birth control has very bad effects for people who use birth control for reasons other than avoiding pregnancy. if one does end up pregnant but miscarries, you die of state-enforced negligence because removing a miscarriage corpse is considered an abortion.

if someone does things with the sole purpose of making your life worse, they are no longer your family.

I have a lot of files. Some of it is my own artwork. Most of it is my boyfriend's art. (2,000 pictures from his Twitter alone?!)
I want to tag hundreds of files and sort them. Hydrus Network is good for pictures. Problem: it only works on pictures. It doesn't like text or 3d files. It also copies all your files to its own folder and renames them, which takes up space and makes it confusing to navigate with anything other than Hydrus.
The next best thing appears to be TagStudio, which looks promising, but it's still in alpha and it's terribly slow.
Adobe Bridge uses checkboxes. It doesn't look like it wants to support hundreds of tags. Maybe there's some settings I haven't looked at to make it easier to mass-tag things.
Tagspaces seems popular but is very slow, very ugly, and wants you to pay money for basic features.
Damselfly's installation is too complicated for my smooth brain but it does have AI auto-tagging which is neat.
I downloaded the free version of Daminion but it wants me to restart my computer to install which I don't want to do right now because I have to go outside soon. We'll see how it is.

What's the solution here? Must I concede to hosting Szurubooru? Does that even support the weird filetypes that I want? Am I stuck with Hydrus being the only decent software for this kind of thing?

i have been actively trying to avoid the news so i stop hearing about this awful stuff and my college decides to send an email to all students with The Most Recent Bad News: some guy was pushed over and fell and hit his head and died from it because he decided to be pro-israeli at the "please stop bombing children's hospitals and bombing civilians in general" protest

there is not a side to take here other than "stop bombing civilians" so i guess that's pro-palestine or something since those are the civilians being bombed
