Don't edit a map and then save it over the original. You could have some problems joining servers using that map.

And what software did you use?
AVG 7.5 is good (free to)  It cleared 4 trojans off my comp today.  All the same just in different user accounts.
1 question:
can viruses be picked up by simply visiting a web page?

Only a very few websites can. The owner of that paticular website gives it a very catchy name as as soon as you enter it POP.
