So I go back too school in like, a day and a half. Freshmen year, pretty excited.
I'm thinkin I'm gonna hang up the blockhead for a few years.

But I started thinkin, what would Blockland be like in four years?
I saw this topic a few minutes ago, Blockland is $4.99 on Amazon

I really find it hard to agree with that. There's no way this game would be worth $40, in my opinion. Especially since we're lacking players right now because a lot of us have left. Maybe when (and if) the community grows again, it might be worth more.

I think this game is worth no more than $4.99 right now. Back in the older times when it was more active, it was worth more the money. This game is kind of sitting steady in between the point of collapse and the point of growth. So far, I feel like we're going neither direction until something new comes around. However, with all of this stuff going on that's piling on more work for Badspot, I fear our chances of an update anytime soon are very slim.

I'm gonna try and leave for four years for school, but from stuff like this I'm wondering what will be here if and when I return.
I kinda felt like if i ever took an extended break everything would be space-agey and white and we'd have 100Ker players or some Back-to-the-future style crap like that, but is it realistic to think we will get past BLID 60,000?
Maybe if Blockland stays on sale for a while we can, but what good is cheapness if the people that only buy it because its cheap leave after a month?

Blockland's a great game and was worth the $20 for me, what's wrong with it?

Gallery / Hyaku's Rising Lava Build

Hey guys, tis Hyaku.
I play on Zapk's raising lava and it's really fun.
One problem that I've seen complained about was how people would use teamwork to dominate rounds.
Like in Crystia Castle, if you get a boost too the spire in the middle right above the stairs, you're invincible.
So in light of this (and just because I felt like building some stuff), I give you a smorgasbord of color and 8 cubes that will  put a new spin on Rising Lava.

On my new build, the goal is not too get too the top, but to avoid the bottom.
All players will spawn at the top, and after the set amount of time, will be given push brooms.
The players will knock each other off or temporarily destroy the platforms over 5 tiers of rainbow explosion tiles.
This also puts a cap on teamwork, because there is nowhere too go but down.
Essentially, it is falling tiles for Rising Lava, but with two 8 cubes separating each tier, once you go down there's no going back up.

This build is designed to put a new spin on rising lava, and with the format it is in, will probably make for fun and speedy rounds.

As you can probably see, large-scale builds are not really my specialty, but it uses the default color-set and only uses only 5 different bricks. (All default as well)
You can rate, but remember, I built in favor of game-play over attractiveness.

Help / A Snowball of Account Problems

I have too many problems to sum up into one title
Let me start at the beginning:

• I wanted to change my profile picture

Didn't work?

• so then I tried making a new account so current ID = forum ID

What happened is I basically screwed up A TON registering, and now I have a new account in which the ID is -1 and so I have an account I'm afraid to use, and an account that still hasn't loaded my new profile pic.

I'm such a mess. Any recommendations? Will I get banned if I use the new account?

I'm so confused

Drama / Blockland: A Not-So-Safe Game Anymore

So basically, the news hot off the press is that some guy made a BL hack and has been distributing it to anyone who asks.
This new hack has:
aimbot (yes sir It's possible)
Wall glitch
And some freezing glitch

This is all done through DLL or C++
With the black market release of a sketchy and copyright infringing code, this could contain malicious code with info stealing capabilities.

Many iconic blockland figures began discussing codes, and it was mentioned how someone hacked a few forum accounts.
One bully, revoked many times, has been cyber bullying people with their personal information.

Then I read this:

I have updated the dossier.

And am now visibly shaken
One trouble maker is having his life being wrecked by some people.

After seeing the risk and harassment, I don't know how much I get out a forum account...
How much do they know about me?

Drama / Hyaku: Admin for Tezuni

So I got admin back today.
Brian* said I really screwed up last time
(you'd think a screw up big enough to lose the trust of 3 SAs could be remembered, but that's not a story for now)
Tezuni said he doesn't really know what I did, and he said he doesn't care.
So we're friends, but Brian is being less friendly.
In an effort to do better / leave less excuse to be deadmined, I started this thread.
If you have a problem with me, please tell me here and I'll do my best to fix it / explain myself.

If you wanna complain, do it here so I can defend myself, because if you only tell Brian, he adds a tally to my file and that's all.
This thread is only for my admin at Tezuni's server, and is a way for you to calmly tell me what I can do better. Thank you for your respectful responses.

General Discussion / can we pleeeeease have maps back?

I dunno about you guys, but I'd like to have done maps back. At least when you sucked at building you could goof off on a mountain or explore a sink, now you have to build the mountain, and if you're as bad at building as I am, that can be a problem!

can't we try to make something where shaders would be disabled when playing terrain?
Idk about you, but I'm to laggy to use shaders anyways.

Can anything be done Badspot?
