Off Topic / Why do people save images as JPEG?

It's irritating that people use a low-quality image format all the time!



I don't understand. It makes your images look like crap, and it's even more so annoying when you save an image I drew and you save it as a JPEG and then post it and expect me to edit it (Kind of like that land-of-us thing).

JPEG is also annoying because it can't be transparent.

So discuss your hatred for JPEG and JPEG artifacts

Seriously, you are not alive until you try this stuff. It's possibly the best muffin flavor in the whole world.

What's even better is it tastes better than chocolate chip muffins or pumpkin muffins! They're just so chewy and sweet and flavorful. It's like that feeling that you don't want to do anything else other than eat muffins. They're like the best idea ever conceived.


Discuss how wonderful poppyseed muffins are.

tumblr hasn't failed me yet! This website contains a large number of silly images making up scientific facts that aren't that true, nor are they really "scientific".

Most of the images there are pretty humorous, and I'm pretty sure anybody will get the jokes it has. It must have taken some thought on some of these images, because for being flawed logic, it's pretty funny.

Sven, you are. A mighty and well-fed king. Your kingdom is Fartswelle, a quaint city under the great wall of Wahl. You have seen many great knights fall before your kingdom's walls, hoping to gain entrance and seize your many treasures.

But instead of keeping gold and jewelry, the mighty king (that's you!) stashed mountains of meat, dairies and steamed vegetables in his secret quarters. Thousands and thousands of tons of nothing but food.

One day, the evil Wizard Du Nohguud put a curse upon his land, and his walls became to what looked and felt like jelly. The hoarders tore through the walls and made off with the biggest haul of food known to man.


Now, as Sven, you shall find, recover and bring back all the food that was stolen. An entire ecosystem depends on it.


As this works, you will vote up there in the poll for what Sven's action will be. For each vote, a number of days will be held before he decides his action. The popular vote is the decision.

Right now, we join Sven as he readies his stallion to run off to distant lands in search of his glorious loot.

Off Topic / Everybody is always mad about me not texting them.

So get this, I hardly text.

Maybe to remind somebody something, maybe to say goodbye or hello, but that's about it. So my friends are like "you should text more, you're like a mute or something".

This makes me disappointed for the sheer fact that the only way people are getting social interaction is by texting. I hardly know how anything works on the stupid touch phone, and it sits on the desk in my house all the time. I know I can ignore people, but it gets annoying when they bitch about me not being glued to my phone 24/7.

Say you're vacationing in England for a couple of weeks and a plague breaks out among the streets turning people into bloodthirsty undead monsters. Because of said events, all the major important companies stop supplying England with food, water and resources.

You, who has little to no experience with firearms or survival, are alone, cold and hungry.

Zombies are dumb, their senses are dull, and they're dying. According to the news channel, the plague is spread through the bloodstream (bites), and it kills the victim under four weeks.


So, everybody but you and a few survivors scattered around the island are left, and it will be twenty eight days before any chance of help is, since everybody's being paranoid of the plague and not sending anything to England.

And one last thing. According to the news, anybody who tries to escape will be shot by patrolling boats around the bays and coasts of England.


How would you survive?

Like say, there's something big and heavy flying towards you, some people will dodge, some people with jump and some people will cry.

So, give the below user a "dire situation", and it would be the below user's job to answer the fabricated situation with what they would do, given what would be happening at the moment.

Off Topic / I just had a great christmas.

So, I was expecting not a very big present.

I got in return a hundred dollar lego village market set. But this isn't what's good. The good things are about other people around me.

First off, my brother was starting to look for a job. But he's decided to, and he's going to the navy sometime in January 2011!

I got word from my aunt a few weeks ago that I have a new cousin.

My dad got a raise, and with it he's going to fix up things around the house with some extra money.

And to top it off, my oldest cat (the one I like) was feeling sick, but she's back to best health and actually better than ever.

She's twelve, too.

So, discuss what great things happened this christmas or around it.
