Off Topic / My dog ran away. [DOG RE-OBTAINED]
« on: November 01, 2015, 10:46:48 AM »
My dog ran away, even though there was 1 open exit, and 3 people were at that exit. (The porch)

They didn't notice until an hour later, and we couldn't find her after looking around by car, bike, foot, and even tried using our neighbor's dog to track her down. That didn't work. This happened yesterday, and we still can't find her. The dog shelters don't have any yorkies either, and one other dog shelter is closed until Monday. We put up a total of 8 flyers, unlaminated. They're going away as soon as it rains. My mom has just about given up (after having a minimal effort search) and said that someone probably took her. My brother says that she was probably hit by a car or bit by a snake.

I am loving losing it, guys. I've shed no tears for when we almost lost our house, or when I was told that I'm going blind, and was called the strongest in the family, emotionally. But now, I just can't deal with this stuff any longer. I don't know what to do for myself, I only feel like gorging myself with halloween candy and soda and just playing games all day, instead of doing anything else at all. I've already missed so many days of school for doctor and hospital visits, and am about to lose many more days. Then on top of all these other problems, I'm going to have a stuff ton of school work to make up.

So here's the list so far of stuff going on:
House is on the verge of being lost. (Barely supported by my brother who's working minimum wage atm)
There's no spending cash to use on anything new for entertainment.
I'm going blind
My dog ran away and everyone thinks she's dead.
I've got an ass-load of school work to make up, and no drive to actually do any of it.

What do, BLF? I've really got no clue.

Anyway, I'm going to a hospital in Miami to get surgery ASAP. An't this some stuff.

Normal In Ocular Pressure (IOP) is 15, but mine was 32 and 36 on thursday, but now it's 38 and 40 so something's very forgety. I probably won't be able to update the thread until I get back from the hospital, or if my friend visits me with his laptop or something. Loooks like the eyepatch idea on halloween is gonna be mandatory.

Stay cool, dudes.

Off Topic / I've just been diagnosed with Glaucoma (STILL No Surgery!)
« on: October 22, 2015, 01:54:19 PM »
I've lost a majority of my vision in my left eye, and it will only get worse until I get laser surgery done to both eyes. Glaucoma affects both eyes, but my left has started losing vision since it's also an astigmatism. It's really rare for someone my age, 15, to get it. The optomotrist said that it's due to me also having Ehler Danlos Syndrome that I got it so young. If untreated, not only will I go blind, but I might lose my actual eyes.

So I've been prescribed medicine to reduce the pressure build-up in my eyes, and will likely have to go through risky surgery to prevent complete loss of vision.

In other words, I got my flu-shot today. Will I get autism now?

Off Topic / How my younger nephew greeted me.
« on: October 13, 2015, 03:48:50 PM »
About a week or 2 ago, I went to my half-sister's house, unwillingly. Right as I get up to the door, before I ring the bell, my nephew Matthew opens the door, looks at me, and yells "PINGA!" (It means snake in spanish)

He got yelled at by all the adults while I just broke down laughing my ass off. He's barely even a year old.

Games / games where you fight people in suits
« on: October 09, 2015, 05:56:23 PM »
Can anyone list the games they know of where you get to fight people in suits, or fight people in a suit?

I don't know why, but it just feels more fun to shoot people wearing suits while wearing a suit.

Forum Games / It is bright, and you are confused.

It seems like it's been months, when it could have only been hours since you were last conscious.

You expel a large quantity of sea-water from your mouth.

Panicked, you look around, your vision is blurred, but you can tell that you're upside down, suspended above the floor, and facing the floor. The floor is covered in water, blood, and moving shoes.

You hear people shouting, but you can't seem to understand them over a blaring siren and your ringing ears.

at 2:09, there is mention of a pink butt, and the voice sounds awfully familiar to me. Does anyone know what pink butt this song speaks of? It's gotta be from somewhere.

Off Topic / Unable to sleep
« on: August 06, 2015, 02:23:49 AM »
Recently I've been lying restless in my bed, unable to sleep, even spending hours awake tossing and turning, until I just get up, go to my computer, faff about and then go back to try again.

Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone got tips to deal with restless sleep?

Off Topic / Why do people commit Self Delete?
« on: July 29, 2015, 04:10:56 PM »
We've been getting an alarming amount of Self Delete threads lately, and it's been rather unsettling. A question that always bothers me is "why?"

I'm pretty sure that everyone here knows it's a permanent solution to what is usually a temporary problem. But it still makes me wonder why, in this day and age, are we so quick to just give up our lives because of a problem that can be dealt with or even fixed? Why is it so hard to move on after stuff happens? People die, not everyone loves you, and stuff generally doesn't go your way. It's not because everyone hates you, it's because life is pretty much a giant competition without end. And even if everyone does hate you, like it seems to be the case with some forumers here, it can be dealt with by moving on, or ignoring those that dislike you.

I feel bad for doing this, but lets use Thorfin as an example. He lost a family member, but he still had family, he still had friends, and he still had a future ahead of him. He was even close to completing some life goals, but decided to cut everything short. Why couldn't he just move past the pain? Why couldn't he help himself, when all of his friends and family was trying to help him? Why give your misery to everyone else? Why not honor the dead by being successful in spite of crippling depression? Why give up?

I personally find Self Delete to be one of the biggest disappointments that someone can do. Rather than even try or continue trying to make something out of their life, they just give up and end it all. Most Self Delete is purposeless, only being done out of sadness. A sacrifice would be honorable, alongside martyrdom, but making your own future meaningless is just loving stupid. I really can't find a way to describe Self Delete as something other than stupid. If you want your life to end, at the very least make sure people remember your death in good regards, rather than pure depression.

Discuss or whatever, sorry in advance if I make some people mad.

My leg's been hurting after walking for a bit of distance for months now, and I was thinking about buying a walking-stick, but I was wondering if anyone knew about the school consensus on them. I was thinking of getting a shillelagh or african walking stick for the added self-defense to sooth my paranoia. Anyone know what a school would think about one of these?

I've brought homemade foam swords with PVC cores to school before and fought people with them, so I don't think that administration would think badly about it.
