Author Topic: Fallout 3 texture bug: PC  (Read 1852 times)

I bought fallout 3 because I had the last week off school, but now I'm bored with pleasantries and my desktop, in the middle of the "Please Stand By" slide in the loading phase of the game, switches from high-res to very-low-res textures. It's happened since I bought Fallout 3. So now, FO3 looks better on my laptop, because it's actually using the high-res textures.  I can't read anything on the case of the Pip-Boy, the rocks are just flat gray lumps, and everything looks bad.
What's going on with it?

I'm not sure, I don't have Fallout 3 for pc. But maybe it could be that the game is trying to put its setting to help run better on your computer or something? Is the computer your using that messes up good? Or is it a piece of crap. I'm not sure why that would happen. But I can't help much cause, as I said before, I don't have Fallout 3.

The computer can run Crysis on full settings with little to no lag, so yes, it should be able to run it.

Now let's get someone who actually has Fallout 3 for the PC  :cookieMonster:

Check your settings, textures might be set to low.

I have it set to High. I checked that first. This happens on every setting, medium, low, and high. I'm not even sure if the Low settings look this bad. :\
