The closest part of my family in Canada hates it, for the most part. They're not poor, but they're not middle class either. Somewhere in between there. Maybe about $60000 a year?

The only one of that family that agrees with everything Canada does, and more, is my cousin, who's a self-admitted communist.

they still don't like it. my aunt constantly complains to my mother about having to wait weeks - months for a prescription or just a checkup.

and it's pathetic too because my great grandmother goes to the emergency room when she just starts to cry, and they have to 'treat' her

If that's better than what our system is implementing, congress will have to pass more laws to try to fix it no? And almost surely those fixes will be costly and counterract the 56 bil obama says it will save. ( of course, there will be more taxes included to negate that too, but shouldn't we have waited ror when we are out of debt?

They do that here too. Hospitals are so weighed down by lawsuits and malpractice insurance that they have to take people in for stupid reasons just to get money. Dunno why they would in Canada, though.

I spent a week in a psychiatric ward because for no reason whatsoever.
