Author Topic: Add-On List Saver  (Read 868 times)

Ok, this is an idea I had;
The Add-On List Saver would have these features;
•Have a button for saving the list in folder with a custom name (in-game)
•When loading a list pressing "Load Add-on list" would enable Add-ons on the list and disable ones not on the list

Example:
Start a Game , Add-On List , Load Add-Ons (Browse in C:\config\server\Add-OnLists\List001.txt)
[List001.txt is loaded. Add-On names on the list are enabled on Add-Ons. Add-On names that are not on the list are disabled.]

Ok if you dont understand this; This would be a faster way for the user to enable and disable add-ons that are saved on a .txt file.
Ex. File "C:\config\server\Default.txt" Default.txt would contain all the Default Add-On names.
And, this would be a Client-side add-on.

would be useful, although we already have it (RTB groups)

Although we do have the RTB Groups, i heavily dislike them. They extend my add-on list by hundreds because i have multiple groups. so i have to find the start of one group while its stuck in the middle of 500 add ons. Kind of a pain if you ask me. I'd like it so there's an easy "Load Add-On List <Insert Name Here>" button.

I agree with every word. This has to be done.

If you don't like how the RTB feature works, post in the Development thread and suggest what you'd like to see instead.

I don't pretend to know what everyone wants and I certainly don't know what works best for everyone because I only have about 20 add-ons installed. I rely generally on the usability feedback people give.

Ok....But I only have the complant then....I might be there.

It'd be nice to have an Addons Favourites list.
Like how they made Event Favourites.

I actually made something like this a long time ago, but it took a long time to load and if you added a new add-on then it wouldn't turn it off by default. I could probably fix this if I actually used it.
