The first one was good, but this seems to take it one step further. This looks great

I got it, and I'm sad to say that I'm definitely not as impressed by this game as by the first one.

The first one had a great beginning, rather than the generic (OLOL HUGE MONSTAR DUN STOLE MAH WHORE)
Not that it didn't have its predictable moments.

I like the new abilities and whatnot, but I was more "into" the story of the first one... it was a darker and more intense storyline, even the bosses just seemed... better. I've noticed lots of very "cartoony" effects in this game that the first one lacked, for the better.

And I was actually ANNOYED by the music in the Yoshi Egg levels... that would never happen in the original game.

Guess I'll have to play farther into it for a complete review.
