That's an English interpretation of their titles; we don't know for sure the true meaning of their titles. I'm not arguing that they don't have tits, but it isn't homoloveuality for a female of another species and an Asari to have love. Once you're crossing species why does gender matter anyway?

As long as a humanoid alien appears female to me, I deem it female. It's my personal behavior when playing games that allow for romance options. Because Tali is actually female by our standards.

I saw one on the Krogan homeworld. She was the ambassador from the female Urdnot clan. Had a slightly feminine voice but looked the same.
