Author Topic: Iron Snail: Freeware Torque 2D project  (Read 1025 times)

Yay! I'm downloading the Torque Game Builder (also known as Torque 2D) demo so I can get something done this summer, and my first project is a completely free clone of Metal Slug. I have just enough time to use the demo before school starts (30 days :( ) so I might buy it, since the basic version is only $100, unlike the steep $1000 for Torque 3D (which I already own). Once I recreate MS1, I might recreate other versions.

And remember, this will all be distributed for free. I hope to have it as close to the original Metal Slug as I can possibly make it. If anybody has the demo or owns TGB already wants to help out, go ahead. I'll add info as I get along in the project.

By the way, my internet is constantly restarting itself. It's been doing this since before noon (as long as I've been up) and it's messed up TWO attempts to download TGB demo already. I'll need to wait until tomorrow to download it, when I have the time to restart my router.

By the way, I post so late because it's as close to nocturnal as I can be while still being in school. Which I guess is just fine.

I hate you. I start school next week.

If you already owned T3D legitimately you'd know that it has a binary-only version for $100.

You can get the binaries only for $100. No source code, only Torquescript for making your game.

And Monty that was posted BEFORE I had whiskey. I can even still type properly. if I concentrate really hard.

Hm? the 3D version? But I need the source code :(

I've been mucking around in the program for a while, and all I have to get out of it is "arghfgl". Why is it harder to use than T3D? :(

I have Torque 3d tbut its the binary-only version
