I used to mercilessly fling pikmin directly into the mouths of enemies. I cared little if they died, because I always had hundreds more stored in the onions (and the ship in Pikmin 2). Bulbmin, on the other hand, were rare, useful, and extremely valuable. I died a little inside each time one was crushed or eaten.
