Void rays need a nerf..

surprised they lasted that long in beta and where released like that..

one early void ray on zerg can cripple the zerg player and even kill him

Also, cloaked motherships are annoying after someone manages to destroy most of your forces.  You can see the thing floating but you can't do a thing about it!

If you don't have detectors by the time they have a mothership, you already have a 0% chance of winning. Also about void rays: This is why you need to scout your opponent and see what they are doing. If you see them void ray rushing, attack them with everything you have since they probably wont be able to defend themselves untill they get void rays, and build counter units in the meantime,just in case your attack fails. (terran=>vikings, protoss=>stalkers,zerg=>hydras or mutas). In late game void rays are much easier to counter assuming you know their coming.

Well, if you've already built up a base and manage to get your base away, that's what I'm talking about.

At that point in the game you should just accept defeat. If your main base is destroyed, you have such an incredibly small chance of winning that it might be better for you to give up. This may not be true in the lower leagues, but in platinum and diamond, that kind of blow would mean you completely lost because any competent player will search the map and hunt you down as fast as possible.

Just used a Void rush to win the last 2 games. I feel cheap and bad. Somebody help me fix it, and tell me an alternative rush!

I'm probably going to aim for being a random player when I get out of the practice league.
Also, reaper rushes are the new zergling rush.

If you're a rts noob/ not experienced with starcraft, when you leave the practice league the game speed for ranked games goes from "Normal" to "fastest" which is close to 2x as fast. Good luck.
