...And guess what. I go to register my key, after waiting 2 and 1/2 hours for it to download and update, and it tells me my key can not be claimed.

I emailed Blizzard and now I'm waiting for a reply and I'm pretty mad.

I bought the game today, at Best Buy, so I doubt I got a fake key.

And now to wait some more.

Get this. I have been playing email tag for the past 2 hours or so. I've typed in my key at least 15 times. The first letter, it was a K, not an R. There is a smudge in the print that looks exactly like an R. I can't believe it.
