If you want a touchscreen that can actually do something you might as well get a HP Pavilion tx 2000.
I've had one for 18 months works great and runs most games just fine on decent (or better) graphics.

I want an iPad just for one reason:
My school hates MP3 players/iPods, but won't take them away. Usually, they just have you take off your headphones/earbuds/whatever and turn off the MP3 player/iPod.

So, what I want to do is take my iPod Touch into class as well as the iPad. When the teacher asks me to stop, I pull out my iPod Touch (which my headphones won't be connected to), then reach into my backpack, pull out the giant iPad and place it on the desk, disconnect the headphones from the iPad and put it back in my backpack.

ONLY reason I want an iPad.

My mom bought 4 iPads for the my school (She works there, used schools money) and I got to play with one. It was the most boring piece of crap I have ever used.
