Title explains it all.

You see, i just bought tf2 and want to hear the audio, along with Gmod, but can't.

Is there a way to fix this?

A little more information would narrow down my search. First of all, speakers or headphones?

Still not enough info for me to narrow my search down. Well let's go with the most basic.

Go to your audio mixer and make sure you don't have anything turned off. If you don't know how to access it tell me what OS you have because it's different for each OS.

PC,Vista bro.

stuff not familiar with Vista but I'm guessing it's like Win7. Right click the volume icon in the right bottom corner of your screen and click on "Open Volume Mixer". Make sure your speaker/headphone channel is enabled and set all the way up.

Sound works on everything else?
Checked audio options in both games?
Got drivers for your sound card?

Can you hear sound on other things and games such as youtube?

turn your sound on for the games  :cookieMonster:

I've learned that if you plug in/unplug headphones while doing something, you have to restart the game or refresh the page for the sound to work.

Smash the speakers with a bat.

Always works for me.
