I just bought Team Fortress 2 off steam, and it's downloading right now. I've never played this game before, but I've seen many videos and demos about the game. Do you guys have any suggestions about what I should use, or how I should play?

Don't snipe with the sniper class. Use the huntsman and don't aim at all like you are suppose to do. Don't blow stuff up like a good demo would, instead cut peoples heads off with a sword.

Also if possible when you get the fish, do Self Delete runs into oncoming enemies.

Play spy, take out disguise kit, constantly duck and look up, shout "IMA CRAAAB".
