There was something like this, It was the changeprint event. I made a set of about 5 prints for frames in a small animation, and set it on a relay. Worked pretty well. Ask megascientifical for the event, as he made it.

I saw a few suggestions a while back about this.. it talked a lot about lag.
I'm sure having it change the print quickly would help
