Currently I've got an Intel Pentium D CPU 2.80 GHz CPU, will this new one be any better
Of course yes.
First off, I need a motherboard.
Get one that's USB 3.0 or SLI-compatible(or even rarer, USB 3.0+SLI)

Also I've selected a motherboard and Burner and a PSU
BURNER
MOTHERBOARD
POWER SUPPLY

Sli shouldn't be a deciding factor for you. Helpless chose an incompatible motherboard again which further explains my reasoning.

I would still recommend AMD. No, more fans won't be worth it. The case already has superb airflow. Most manufactures only include one 80mm fan and those computers don't tend to overheat.

Here, I didn't include the DVD burner but if you add it it will still be under $300.

This computer is quite a bit more powerful then the ones that other people were suggesting.

The case you chose is fine. You could get cheaper RAM or a cheaper PSU if you were short on cash too.

douchebag.

You're a loving idiot, go away.

I had already chosen a Mobo, PSU, CPU, and RAM, what are your thoughts on those?

They simply aren't with the cost. You will much, much better performance out of this. Also adding this is a quad core and not a dual core it will last alot longer.

Alright thanks, switched my parts to those.
Anyone have any idea on the HDD question?

Just checked the reviews:

Cons: Only 1 chassis fan connector... not a big deal but most systems have more than one now. And like others have noted, the board is a little short, and has some support issues.
My case has two fans, this mobo won't work for me

Your power supply and case have molex adapters. You also don't need to plug fans into a motherboard for them to spin.

Oh haha wow alright
Thanks man

You will have to reinstall windows and probably call microsoft to let them know what you are doing. When you activate a copy of windows it becomes tied with your general hardware. If too much changes then it won't work anymore.
