Ok, I know some people need this...
there are those noobs asking for admin all the time...
well with this just by typing something like /silent somerandomnoob and no one can see there speech or text...
basically, a command to MAKE THEM SHUT UP WITHOUT BANNING THEM!
and again, i cant script crap!
And a command to make them talk again, something like /unsilent thatnoobagain

Here's my idea for a better version:
A client-sided mod that lets you mute people on whatever server you're in; so you don't see their chat but other people still do. It would work everywhere you go since it only affects you.
Then you can just mute people you don't like. It's not abusive since all the other stuffs can still hear them.

that would probably be possible, just check the message to be displayed for if it contains a name within the first 4 slots+name length, then if it is in, don't display the message

I made one long ago that mutes for 5 minutes and unmutes when the time is up, no option for length so people can't be abusive with ridiculously long times, and also mutes by ID, so even if the muted person leaves and rejoins, they're still muted.

Only problem is that I made this for my server, which I rarely host, and when I do it's usually passworded, therefore I haven't tested it a lot. I know it still sends a message saying they can talk even if they're off the server, but I'm unsure whether it will still show their name, or just display " can speak again!"
