Author Topic: How to make a scratched Wii disk work? (Mario Kart Wii)  (Read 3332 times)

So, I borowed MKWii from a friend, and it was scratched all over. It's a few years old, so I expected a few scratches. But when I go to singleplayer or whatever, it gives me a disk error. Is there any tricks to fixing it so I can play?

That didn't work on other games, so I don't really know. I might try.

Tooth paste rarely worked, but what I did was weird whenever I had a scratched game. I would get a variety of random things and mix them together, such as shaving cream, toothpaste, banana mush, shampoo, and rub it all over. Rinse with diet soda, then rinse again with water. When you wipe things off of it, wipe in a circle, otherwise your game will be scratched even more.

I honestly can't tell if you're trolling or not, so no.

If you live near/in a bigger city with a game shop or a dvd rental place go in and ask if they have a machine to refurbish disks. It should be pretty cheap depending on the place.

Even then it may not help, though. I have a game that one of the files needed to install is corrupted from scratches. But if the game is already installed it works fine. I even got it refurbished about 3 times with a very expensive machine at the library.

Water and a towel.
Always works for me when I'm careless with my SWBII disk.

Meh. Okay.

EDIT: Actually, that won't fix scratches.
