Author Topic: Accidently overwritten a sound in L4D2 - need someone to upload  (Read 1491 times)

Well, I have accidentally overwritten the Uzi's default reload sounds and fire sounds in Left 4 Dead 2, can someone please upload them?

I forgot to make a backup and i realized the sounds i added weren't good enough.
so can someone upload them?

reinstall l4d or just look for a better uzi sound.

i'm sure someone nice enough will come along and give you the .wavs though

however, by the time that happens, you might've been able to do either of the two and be killing tanks left and right.

where are the sounds located?

Delete the file then verify game integrity. You should get it back.

Delete the offending files, validate game cache, ???, profit.

Oh duh, disregard me x).

Well, you have a solution. Next time, use clown horn noises.

Since L4D2 seems to store everything in the "common" folder instead of a GCF file, that'd also delete any other mods you have. Keep backups.

I don't understand.
How would I "validate" this so called game cache?
It would be much easier if someone just copied the sounds, pasted them into a zip, and upload them to mediafire.
