If you do that it only works with one section of the color set.

And if you're trying to use this to paint multiple bricks all different random colors then there might end up being a pattern.

I've had a mod that quickly scrolls vertically and horizontally across the colorset for a while now .. works fine for giving a very random color + FX sometimes as well

this is really all you need to do if you don't mind FX paints
