Coming upon a sudden revelation that the world is _____ won't change anything.
The world still spins.
The fish still swim.
The birds are still forgetheads.

I'm sick of people trying to discover a point to existence. To try to find the meaning of life. So what if you find it? What will it change?

to answer the many questions that people have to ask, and to gain their trust/friendship

While I do agree that knowing stuff helps, asking unimportant questions to abstract concepts like life seems pointless.
