Author Topic: My DeskPro, Awesome or not?  (Read 773 times)

So I've decided to find out what you all think is bad about my DeskPro.

Custom Built.
Windows 7
6GB RAM
1024 GDDR5 ATI Radeon HD mumbo jumbo
3GHz 6Core AMD Phenom II
750w PSU
6 Blue LED Fans

Couple of other useless things that arent worth mentioning, Network card, Wireless card, Audio Card. Additional USB slots (like 6 of them on the back, 2 on the front). 1 LableFlash CD Drive and a Multicard reader on the front.

Rating and telling me how much it sucks is acceptable.

that processer, apparently pretty bad at multi tasking according to facepunch mod, even though it has six cores.
6 blue LED fans? who gives a stuff?
"ATI Radeon HD mumbo jumbo"? what?

To be honest, I like Intel processors, and nVidia graphics better.

well, they come with a higher price tag.

It doesn't sound bad at all.  The 1090T isn't nearly as good as, say, the i5-2500K, but it's no pushover.  As for your graphics card, you'll have to be more specific about what card it actually is.

he has a 5850

Excellent choice then.  The 5850 is a great card.  Enjoy your good PC.

As for the 1090T's performance, it's marginally better than the AMD Phenom II X4 965 and 955, both of which are great CPUs for the price (I have the 955 myself) and generally the only better price/performance deal out at the moment is the i5-2500K, which is a huge performance jump over all three of them for only $20 more than the 1090T.
