You idiot, did you even read beyond the title of the article? "Conservative" is referring to only the eastern counties in Oregon. The western half of the state which contains the two largest cities, Portland and Eugene, is quite liberal and Oregon is generally regarded as leaning Democratic. In addition, the article is only speaking about gay teens. Actually do your homework before making claims next time.

Actually I didn't, I still had a few minutes before I left to go somewhere. So while blowing those few minutes I saw this thread and remembered two articles I saw. Of which only one (at least, in title) mainly concerned Oregon. So I posted that (composed of bits of the article I remembered) just to waste time.
