Portal 2 Problem - Black Screen afafafafafaf

I have problem.
Whenever I open Portal 2 and start playing, in the beginning there is only black, nothing surrounding me.
I'm mad because i wanna play my game. >:C
forget someone help me.

I don't know if my computer needs a different graphic card or what, and I don't know if it has DirectX or Pixel Shader 2.0, which Portal 2 needs to run on.

I downloaded DirectX, but apparently that isn't the problem. Google has failed me in finding a download for Pixel Shader, and I found out that it would already be installed in my graphics card. Unfortunately, my computer decided to be a handicap and not let me into my specs information. So right now I don't know what the forget to do.

You don't "download" pixel shaders, lol.

Pixel Shading is a technology that is literally built into the very graphics chip itself.  You can't get a better pixel shader without buying a new GPU unless you're already at the top.

Windows Key + R, type in "DxDiag" without the quotes.  Go into display tab, tell me what your video card manufacturer is.  It should be either ATI, Nvidia or Intel.

i was a fool and tried to delete directx to reinstall it.

dident work.
so i dont know how to fix it.

Apparently my card is able to support Pixel Shader, it just needs updated.
My father is going to do that this weekend.
No more help needed. :D
