I'm getting one of these cards, and I'm scared I'm gonna bork it up when getting one.  So, can I run this on a 260 watt supply?  (I don't really expect a yes to that.)  And my second question, if it won't run on my current power supply, which one should I get?  I don't have much money so one around 300/400 watts is nice.

Thanks in advance.

I know about newegg.  I'm asking about how many watts it needs.  I tried google but the answers were different.

there's this thing called contributing.

well, most of the slimmer looking ones don't have to have power directly from the power supply. Look for the cards that say low powered or something like that.

Pretty sure this is a low profile card, is that what you're talking about?

when I click the link It just gives me a list of lots of cards.
What is the one your talking about?

Geforce GT 430, I dunno what's the best manufacturer.  I'm looking at the Galaxy one since it looks reliable (and smexy.)

I would personally just wait until you have about 125-175 because sub 100 dollar graphic cards usually are really low end and won't be able to run stuff.

You'll just end up having to buy a new one in a couple months.

But I guess it entirely depends on what type of games you're going to be playing, if you're going to be playing crysis then the 430 can barely run it past 45 fps on minimum settings, which looks like stuff.

I don't play Crysis, I just plain didn't like it.  Besides, the most demanding thing I play is Mw2, and it runs fine on this card.  I don't have many choices since I need a slim card to fit in my case.

What card do you have now?
