Author Topic: Im building a computer over the summer.  (Read 391 times)

My dad and I are going to be building a gaming computer over the summer. He wanted for me to do some research on the parts and stuff before we set a budget. I'v been seeing a lot of topics about people building computers over the summer and thought i should come here.

Any ideas on a budget, parts, and anything i will need for a good gaming computer?

Use some alienware parts, pretty sure that computer is made for gaming so those should do the trick.

Learn to build a computer before you start telling people how to.

A budget really kind of depends on what you want.  If you want an intel processor and nVidia gpu, you're generally going to have to aim a little high.  If you really don't care, it could be anywhere from $600 or so to $1000.

Newegg is a good site to buy parts from.

Also Intel unless you wanna change the CPU fans, but a nice Intel quad core costs over 85 bucks, and Western Digital HDs.

you are so loving stupid, I wanna hit myself with a brick. Alienware is a computer manufacturer you forgetwad, they don't make the individual parts.

Well, if you're looking for a hardcore rig, you could go with an i7 SLi setup.

Or an i5 Single card setup.

Make sure you don't bottleneck that stuff though.
