This would be cool to have and for someone to ban someone else for a certain amount of time.

The problem with Vote Kicking/Banning add-ons is the abuse players will obviously do with it.

The votekick is already broken and should be repaired quickly or failed.
We don't need an even more abusable mod.

What are you talking about? My copy of votekick works perfectly.

How would VoteBan regulate how much time a ban is? RTB prefs?

Also, this would be absurdly abuseable. There would be a flurry of Dramas about being "Unfairly Vote Banned" from servers. The trollage levels would be over 9000.

Don;t forget that dude who figured out that there was votekick in the server and abused it by leaving and typing /yes and joining again without admins in the server.

Worst case scenario.

Lewnaja, metalmario and Jaden Brixton prance along into the server. Since the three of them can relate to handicaps they can ask just about any handicap in the server to help voteban anyone they dislike.

So you will be looking at over 5+ people who will willingly be able to voteban you. You won't stand a chance because the other half of the server doesn't care enough to vote no.

How do I know this? I've seen it multiple times.

This already exists. The Votekick mod supports banning people.
