Your musical sense of humor sucks then.

I wish I knew about this thread sooner! Before I post some songs, I think I will start with a little rant.

Nothing makes me angrier when people say emo is synonymous with cutting yourself and writing stuffty poems on MySpace. Emo is an actual legit genre of music, and it is quite GOOD. And I'm not talking about MCR/Paramore/Hawthorne Heights bullstuff. I mean real music with real feelings that is meant to make you experience some emotion. Genuine emo is a great genre, and one of my favorite musical things ever. And now I'll post some good stuff to cry over.

Sunny Day Real Estate - Song About an Angel
Sunny Day Real Estate - Two Promises
Mineral - If I Could
American Football - I'll See You Both When You're Not so Emo
Empire! Empire! (I Was A Lonely Estate) - Keep What You Have Built Up Here
Empire! Empire! (I Was A Lonely Estate) - An Idea Is A Greater Monument than a Cathedral

And now for the thing we all loathe... Screamo.

What Screamo Isn't:
Scene stuff like A Day To Remember and Attack! Attack that 14 year old pink-haired chicks listen to.

What Screamo Is:
Emo music with Screaming.

Saetia - Some Natures Catch No Plagues
I Would Set Myself On Fire For You - Six
Thursday - At This Velocity
Orchid - I Am Nietzche

Also, I like all of the love Nine Inch Nails are getting in this thread. I'm actually listening to The Fragile right now!
