I refuse to use modern tech but I think it's a bow with ammunition of bullets that you need to recharge at vendors.

I think it's limitless. The gun goes in the slot the bows go in, the bullets/cell goes in the ammo slot.

I don't recall any ranged weapons needing refilling minus spells, rods and books.
