As you probably remember, Toonstruck was cut in two parts before the release, and part 2 has never been released. Well, now it probably will be!

Keith Arem, a member of Toonstruck team who now owns the rights to it, is considering the re-release of Toonstruck which would include Toonstruck 2, but he needs "tremendous fan support" to justify its release and raise the capital. There's a fan petition which has already reached the point of 2000 signatures.

A quote from Mr. Arem (you can read his letter here):here):
Quote
While the game was internationally critically acclaimed, the game did
not receive the sales we hoped, and the second half was never released.
Now that my career has developed, I would like to re-release an updated
version of Toonstruck to include the 2nd half of the game (iPad, online,
etc), but I would need tremendous fan support to justify its release. I
am looking for someone to help organize a fan petition to help us raise
the capital to finance the game, so if you know anyone who could help
with this, I would appreciate the assistance.

Edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toonstruck#Sequel It's coming. Considering the nature of the game, I fear it will only be on iPhone/iPad. :panda:

It was about this cartoon artist who is knocked out and enters his cartoon world. But the evil villain starts to turn the good parts of the cartoon world evil. You must enter the place and save the cartoon world.

The main character, you, is greenscreened into the world. You play as the same guy as the Doc from Back to the Future. It's a really weird forgeted up game, and I don't know why I like it, but I do. I guess the puzzles.

Toonstruck 2 will appear at ComicCon. It will include both games in their entirety, as it was originally meant to be one game anyway. Hail, hail.

Why no Release as freeware on PC?

Why no Release as freeware on PC?

Apparently, PC/Mac will only come if it works out of iPhone/iPad. Since the game is so obscure and weird, I don't think it'll make enough sales... :panda:

Would the original Toonstruck still be considered Abandonware now that Toonstruck 2 is in production? It was considered Abandonware a few years back. If it still is, I'd like someone to help me find a download of it. Otherwise, I'll just have to figure out where the hell I'd have put the discs...

I just did the entire original game using DOSBox. I used a guide, but turned out it was a speed run guide and it skipped over 90% of the content. Still, amazing game. It had systems and gameplay attributes not introduced into mainstream games for another decade.

Above is how to use it with DOSBox.

Above is a guide to it.

Edit: Forgot to mention, but this game has a memory game, just like Simon. I always used to write it down, but when I played before, I got the combination down on my first try. I even still remember it: Nose, right ear, left eye, left ear, right eye, tongue, right ear, left ear, left ear, right ear, nose.
