Author Topic: Should I buy Penumbra?  (Read 880 times)

I played Amnesia and loved it, but I never beat Penumbra because I would get bored :x
You never beated like 3 diffrent games because you got bored, but a castleish and a bit badder (IN MY OPINION) place did not get you bored without any horror almost at all.

I didn't like the environment in Amnesia. It did have a spooky scary feeling to it, but it just wasn't for me.
Penumbra: Overture and Penumbra: Black Plague both scared the stuff out of me and made me have good times.

Did you purposely make that so grammatically incorrect? :o

And Penumbra I didnt think was scary for some reason, Amnesia I found scarier and the story was cooler.

Depends which you played, when, where, how.
I played with no lights, by myself of with a friend sometimes, in my small room, and in a excited mood.
I was scared countless times.
I will agree the story is kinda stupid, but realistic.

If you enjoy Horror games that don't involve shooting and have puzzles, then yes get it! I played Penumbra Black Plague, it was fun but I never was motivated to complete it. For some reason I can't play a SP game for too long unless, someone is playing it with me such as watching my monitor as I play and helping along. Not because I'm scared, but I get bored.
So there's no shooting involved?

Found out Amnesia has a demo.
If i dont like it ill just buy Penumbra
