Author Topic: Windows won't boot  (Read 282 times)

We just tried to install PyGtk on my friend's Cyperpower Gamer Xtreme 6000 and it suddenly crashed, going to a blue screen and telling us to restart. Upon restarting it would not go past the windows bootup screen. We tried to boot it in safemode and it wouldn't work. It has Windows 7 installed on it and he doesn't really want to tell his dad that his $1300 computer has stopped working. It's a relatively new computer, and we were about to install an antivirus on it when this happens.

Could anyone help us with this issue?

changed title to make it more descriptive

Your best bet is to throw another hdd in there, boot windows on it, run in safemode, delete program causing problem.

i don't think we have any other sort of hdd in his house.. any other solutions?
right now we're just trying to wait it out, letting the computer sit for awhile. we're pretty sure it's not a virus, considering that a site of maybe 3000 people have downloaded and used it with no problems.

If you have another computer and a flash drive of at least 4gigs you can boot windows off of it. :3

tried booting in STARTUP REPAIR:
loading screen is just fine; black screen for a bit, mouse shows up aaaand it works! thanks for trying monocle.
that was weird.
