Add Malwarebytes.
It's the best.

All of the computers at my college use sophos, which cost money although they've got a free version for macs.

I just throw MSIE on my computers. I don't really get any viruses in any case. In my experience, keeping browser plugins up to date, turning off scripts in Adobe Reader or using a reader that doesn't support them, and turning of autorun (especially if you use flash drives) is as important, if not more important, than having a good antivirus program.

I also load sites that I don't trust in a sandboxed browser in a virtual machine, or use a text-based browser to view it. That's probably overkill, if you turn off images/flash/javascript/active x/all plugins in a normal browser it will have pretty much the same effect. In any case, the simple act of not going to sites you don't trust will protect you from a surprising amount of bad stuff.

I have a trial version of Norton, Avast and some IObit Malware Fighter all running on my computer...

I still don't feel secure...

But I like Avast.

isn't Norton almost a virus in itself? :cookieMonster:

Seems like it most of the time.

You shouldn't run more than one antivirus program, with the exception of malwarebytes or spybot s&d. All of the AV providers have pretty much the same databases, you now have two programs hogging system resources, interfering with each other, detecting twice the number of false positives and in many cases detecting each other as false positives...

Ad aware used to be good a few years ago too.

I use AVG on my computer, pretty good still.

I use Lookout Mobile Security on my android phone, still good.

Yeah it kept loving up Microsoft word in my parent's computer.

Anyways, I use Free AVG and Malwarebytes. WOT also helps in checking if websites are safe or not.

I've been clear of viruses for quite some time now because of it.

ZoneAlarm Extreme Security and WoT, although it isn't really an anti-virus.

Avast, HijackThis, WOT, FileASSASSIN, Malewarebyte's Antimalware, and Process Explorer.

I'm a virus killing machine.
