That's what I guessed. I want to go from 4 gigabytes to 6, but that's not as urgent as getting a new graphics card. I'm just worried about compatibility.

I got it earlier this year. It was pretty cheap, so they may have used old-ish parts. I still have most, if not all of the manuals that came with the computer, so I'll sift around my drawer for all them.

yeah, I'm leafing through the motherboard's manual and that has a lot of useful, comprehensible info for me. It sounds a lot easier than I previously thought.
