My mods: TooManyItems, Single Player Commands, ModLoader

Operating system: Windows XP Professional
Okay, so I installed some mods using TFC's ModLoader (Not the mod called ModLoader, but a separate program which adds mod .zips to your Minecraft .jar), and deleted Meta-INF (went back in to make sure nothing broke, that it successfully deleted Meta-INF, added all the right classes, &c) and I can start and play the game just fine. I can play a world until one of two things happens:
1) I press Q to drop an item. I don't need to do this normally though because there's a trashbin in TooManyItems, or...
2) I break a block with a level of pick high enough to let it drop an item.
Then the game says it's saving chunks. Thenb the screen goes black, Minecraft freezes, and I have to restart. It does save just fine because when I restart the world the block is gone, if I broke a block which caused the problem, or nothing changed if I pressed Q. (Although the dropped item has disappeared.)
I think it has to do with drop-form blocks and items because if a break, say, netherrack with my fists, which doesn't wield an item, the game acts like it should. I tried using the Single Player Commands to turn drops off, but it didn't change (and I know why- because the drop is still created but then instantly deleted by the mod, but in that one frame the game's already crashed.)
All the mods worked before 1.7.3, and all the mod versions are correct. HELP!
Wait why am I asking the Blockland forums, you guys won't know stuff and any suggestion you give me will be of the type "Reinstall it!" or "Play without the mods!" and I tried reinstalling and I won't play without the mods since I need them because I don't play Survival, I play Creative.
