Driver: San Fransico is an arcade-like driving game much like Grand Theft Auto, just now, without the guns and getting out of cars. Instead of doing all that mainstream stuff, you can immediately shift between cars and other vehicular devices using Shift. The game is still being made by Reflection Studios, the big bad boys who got into ubisoft after making Driv3r.

The game is set for release on:

September 2nd (Hard Copy)
September 27th (Steam)

The single player aspect of this game follows the story line of the previous driver games. From what I've read and seen so far, it is supposed to take place in a coma like dream. But I am not %100 sure, so watch the video.

Oh yeah bitches, this game has a bunch of game modes that you used to play with your friends on the Splitscreen of Driver 2. Such as:

  • Tag
  • Cops N' Robbers
  • Races (Now known as Shift-Race)

Racer going through an intersection? Switch to a semi nearby, and hit him from the side.
YEEEE HAWWW brotherS

Over 120 cars roam the streets of San Franciso, and guess what, they're all licensed. Not imaginary mixups of cars like in the old games. Yeah thats right, everything from 70's Camaros to 2009 Dodge Vipers. Cars Cars Cars. And a few trucks too.

Meh, not like they didn't in the previous drivers anyway. I'm sure after a long time of playing you'd get used to it though. Also, I researched the release dates more, turns out if you want it through a digital download (that's legal), you have to wait until the 27th.
